There are an estimated 200 million orphans worldwide – a staggering number. What is even more alarming is that only 2-5 million of these children are receiving the basic care provided by orphanages. So, the question arises, “Why do so many of the world’s orphans find themselves without a place to go?” The sad truth is that orphanages are expensive to maintain, and the countries in which they are located do not have the resources to fund them internally. For this reason, most orphanages are highly dependent on the aid and on-going support provided by Western countries.
The James 1:27 Foundation seeks to make a difference in the lives of children living in orphanages around the world. We are excited to be able to aid in the support of these orphanages to further the physical, mental and spiritual development of these children.
